Quilt Entries

Entry submission for Quilt Plano 2017 is now closed. The rules, etc., are still available for reference in the Registration Information. A map and detailed instructions are included in the Delivery Instructions.

What's Next - On July 10, we mailed each entrant a packet of materials: claim check, index cards to attach to your quilt and pillowcase, detailed delivery/shipping instructions, and an "I have a quilt in the show" ribbon. If you entered a quilt but have not received the mailout, please contact Lynne Fritsche, the Registration Chair, immediately.

Please review the Delivery Instructions or the Registration Information for details on how to prepare your quilt for delivery. It's very important that the sleeve and label be attached to your entry correctly. Quilts are to be delivered to the Plano Event Center on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017, between 8:00am and 1:00pm.

How We Care for Your Quilts - We strive to take every precaution with your quilts while they are in our care. We take measures to ensure that your quilt does not touch the floor while it is being hung, during judging, during display at the show, and during the take-down and give-back procedures. Volunteers wear white gloves at all times when handling the quilts. Every quilt has a "Do not Touch" sign on it, and quilt angels wearing white gloves are available to show the back of quilts if show visitors request. After the show, we account for each and every quilt before we return any quilts to their owners.

How You Can Help - Please help us by ensuring that the top of the quilt sleeve is no more than 86" from the bottom of the quilt, so the quilt will not touch the floor after it is hung. Be sure that the sleeve is securely attached and of the correct size so that the hanging rod can be easily inserted into the sleeve. Please ensure that the pillowcase or fabric bag in which you transport the quilt is large enough to easily accommodate your quilt - do not use a plastic bag or grocery-style tote bag.

If you have questions, please contact Lynne Fritsche, the Registration Chair.
